Georgia Tech cheer focuses on recruiting, through combines, clinics and official visits. As of September 29, 2026, Georgia Tech’s cheer pages didn’t list a tryout date for the 2027-28 team. This guide follows the official Cheer and Recruitment Interest pages on RamblinWreck.com.
The Program
- Game days. The cheerleaders work all home and away football games, men’s and women’s basketball, postseason tournaments, and campus and community events.
- Competition. Each spring the team competes at NCA College Nationals in Daytona Beach. It was national runner-up in the small coed intermediate division in both 2025 and 2026.
- Student-athletes. The 2026-27 roster lists 35 cheerleaders. Their majors include engineering, neuroscience, architecture, biology and computer science, so expect to balance cheer with a demanding course load.
- Conference. Georgia Tech plays in the ACC.

Men’s Basketball Spirit Day (January 9, 2027)
This pregame clinic at O’Keefe Gymnasium is open to ages 7 and up. Participants learn a one-minute routine and perform it during the Georgia Tech vs. Notre Dame game. The $35 fee doesn’t include a game ticket. For high school participants 16 and older, Spirit Day is also a recruitment opportunity, and the fee is waived for official visit recruits. Game time and the registration link were still TBA.
Admission Comes First
Georgia Tech’s recruitment page pairs its events with an “Apply to Georgia Tech” link, so plan your university application alongside your cheer recruitment.
